  Overview of the Role:

• Manages Woodstream’s logistics operations involving all inbound transportation

• Manages relationships with key third party partners in the International Supply Chain such as freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers

• Implements and maintains compliance procedures

• DOT, IMDG, IATA compliance

• Import/Export compliance

• Budgets and reports out on financial results

• Identifies and implements cost saving/process improvement initiatives

  Specific Responsibilities:

• Regular attendance is required to maintain the functions of the job

• Identify and support implementation of productivity initiatives

• Assist with new product set up including setting HTS codes, Duty Rates, Freight rates

• Develop and publish KPI’s

• Annual calculations of freight and duty standards

• Negotiate and Maintain carrier contracts for all modes of transportation

• Manage Woodstream’s HTS database and import/export compliance

• Lead special projects (with overview) as assigned

• Back up others in the logistics department

• Performs other duties as assigned

  Successful Candidate Profile:

• 3-5 years of experience with global logistics

• Experience managing others

• Experience/training with import/export compliance

• Experience/training with duty drawback procedures

• Experience managing all modes of transportation

• PC experience with MS Office programs, specifically MS Excel and Access

• Strong Analytical skills

• Results oriented; ability to think and work independently

• Capable of managing multiple projects

• Flexible team player; performs in both leader & follower roles
