The Department of Transportation (DOT) is on the lookout for a Roadway Programs Technician 2 to become part of our Lancaster County team! We are on the lookout for a skilled and meticulous professional with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to contribute significantly to the analysis and enhancement of maintenance operations within DOT. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will contribute to the evaluation of maintenance operations to establish and verify work standards. This includes gathering data to ensure County compliance with efficiency and effectiveness metrics, utilizing County Maintenance Measurement Tools and Dashboards. You will assist the Roadway Program Coordinator and management in developing and managing the annual work plan, periodic plans, salt management strategies for stockpiles, the five-year plan, the 213 Program, and initiatives aimed at enhancing maintenance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, you will formulate snow plans by calculating lane miles per truck and route through the roadway management system (RMS), collecting information from Assistants regarding trucks, drivers, and stockpiles, and integrating this into the county's snow plan while organizing spring and fall maintenance meetings. You will also conduct monthly stockpile inventory assessments and maintain a database for anti-skid and sodium during winter operations. Furthermore, you will serve as the County Reimbursable Accident Reports Coordinator, assessing state property damage and identifying necessary repairs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

One year as a Roadway Programs Technician 1. or One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment, and an Associate's Degree in the field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or closely related program. or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
