The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Connerton

· Specialty hospital for medically complex patients

· Pulmonary and Vapotherm Center of Excellence

· Staff consists of all Registered Respiratory Therapist, 65% BSN or above RN’s, Current staff certifications include CCRN, PCCN, CNML, WCNC, NEA-BC, and RN-BC

· Onsite BSN completion program partnership with South University with staff discounted rate

The role you’ll contribute:

The Admissions Coordinator coordinates the day to day functions of the Admissions Department and ensures that all incoming calls and patient referrals are handled professionally, timely, and efficiently as outlined in the department’s telephone etiquette policy. This position requires the maintenance and accurate accounting and final disposition of all inquires and referrals on a daily basis. Directs the investigation of all patients funding sources, ensuring that all potential barriers to claims payment are addressed and resolved prior to the patient’s admission. Collects and verifies the accuracy of demographic/insurance information and pre-admits patients into the hospital registration system. Following the companies policy regarding collection of monies, ensures that applicable deductibles and co-insurances, that are the patients responsibility, are discussed and financial benefits with the hospital’s case manager, insurance coverage and completion of any pre-certification requirements are completed before accepting the patient for admission. Oversees the timely admission of each patient into the registration system and ensures consent to treat as well as all other admission forms are explained and signed by the patient/responsible party within the designated timeframes.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Researches and enters patient payer information into data base

· Works expeditiously to dispatch clinical liaison within fifteen minutes of receiving referral

· Inputs pre-admission /admission of patient data in HMS and SMS data base in an accurate and timely manner

· Works with clinical liaison to convert referrals to admissions

· Aggregates clinical and financial and organizes file for admission

· Works with Case Manager and Clinical Liaison to ensure prompt and accurate follow with referral sources

· Aggregates admission information, and sends to clinical departments once patient admission is confirmed

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

· High School Diploma or GED

· Minimum of four years of directly related experience. (ie: Experience in Business Office customer service, Accounting, Healthcare Admissions/Registration.
