Robert Half Billing Analyst in Lanham, Maryland

Description

We are seeking a Billing Analyst to join our team based Lanham, Maryland. This role involves supporting various types of billing, gathering data, and understanding contract requirements. This position is offered as a short-term contract employment opportunity and is 100% on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Support various types of billing including Time & Materials Billing, lump sum, and % complete.

• Gather and analyze data from multiple divisions to ensure accurate billing.

• Attend status meetings and collaborate with Project Managers to understand project status and billing requirements.

• Utilize various software systems including Sage 300, Costpoint, and CRM for billing processes.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and resolve any billing inquiries.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status.

• Perform auditing of billing functions to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Participate in the system conversion process, aiming to consolidate all divisions onto Sage 300.

• Handle project billing, ensuring all project-related charges are accurately reflected.

• Understand contract requirements and ensure all billing activities align with these requirements.

Requirements • Proficiency in using Costpoint software for financial management

• Hands-on experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools

• Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) operations

• Prior experience in auditing, particularly in a finance or billing department

• Understanding of various billing functions and their implementation

• Familiarity with Time & Materials Billing processes

• Experience in Project Billing, preferably within a large-scale project environment

• Proficiency in using Sage 300 for accounting and business management

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
