HR Specialist Westwood Professional Services, Inc. Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an HR Specialist to join our team and support our Power Divsion. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with HR and Business Subject Matter Experts to understand business trends, requirements, objectives and key operational metrics and assess recruiting and development gaps.
- Work with HR staff and Corporate Services staff at all levels to support the following areas: Staffing, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement/Communications, Training and Development and, General Business Operations.
- Responsibilities may include analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of recruiting and staff development efforts; maintaining positive employee relations, including interpreting HR policies; supporting talent management; coordinating workload management plans and employee growth plans, including performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions; and assisting with rewards and recognition and employee education activities.
- Support and lead HR processes and initiatives in areas such as employee engagement, training and development, benchmarking and analyzing industry and competitive practices, talent management, and other HR efforts.
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver training programs focused on individual and professional development.
- Facilitate the phases of the hiring process in conjunction with the Talent Acquisition team, including recruitment, applicant tracking, interview coordination, onboarding process and file management; Posting job positions; screening resumes; coordinating interviews and interviewing, evaluating, and candidate selection; and assisting with new employee integration.
- Evaluate workloads - work with business leaders and technical staff to identify staffing needs; evaluate and recommend methods of sourcing and recruiting candidates.
- Merger, acquisition, and integration support.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent (5 years of specific HR experience).
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a team to build and maintain relationships at multiple levels and across geographic office locations.
- Strong organizational skills including ability to prioritize and negotiate deadlines with multiple stakeholders
- Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office Suite - PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently and clearly communicate information in writing and verbally.
- Recruiting experience including coordinating with hiring managers, identifying job requirements and determining qualification criteria for candidates.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Cooperative attitude with team-oriented disposition.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to utilize judgment and initiative in HR-related activities
- Strong client-service focus with willingness to adjust approach and persevere to gain buy-in from key stakeholders and deliver results.
- Flexible working style and willingness to occasionally modify personal schedule as required to meet project deadlines or client needs.
