State of Michigan - Department of Treasury Central Office Operations Manager in Lansing, Michigan

In general, the Property Services Division (PSD) provides assistance with the administration of the General Property Tax Act. The purpose of this administrative manager position is to plan, organize, and direct the work activities of the Central Office Operations Section which provides statewide technical assistance and policy recommendations relating to real and personal property assessment practices. This position oversees and coordinates the work activities associated with the annual production of the state-assessed tax rolls pursuant to Public Act 282 of 1905, and the petition process for omitted or incorrectly reported property under MCL 211.154. Other functions include recommending / revising guidelines for proper appraisal and assessment procedures, responding to technical questions from all sources to assist with the administration of the General Property Tax Act, formulating current and long-range plans that facilitate the Division's goals and mission statement, and providing managerial direction and planning to section staff.

Education Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
