Ultium Cells Overview:

Ultium Cells is a joint venture lithium-Ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solutions and General Motors. This new construction high-technology plant will have the latest battery cell manufacturing technology. The investment in this new business venture represents a commitment of more than $2.3 Billion. It will be among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors North American electric vehicle applications.

The Ultium cell partners include LG Energy Solutions; the world’s largest manufacturer of automotive battery cells in the world and General Motors a global company committed to delivering safer, better and more sustainable ways for people to get around.

*Job Responsibilities:  *

• Coordinates the requirements, design, development, integration and validation of large/complex systems involving multiple subsystems and multi-disciplinary technologies

• Ensure the system is built with efficiency (minimize risk, rework) and will meet the requirement and expectations

• Looks at the system and understands the interactions and interdependencies between various subsystems and processes

• Ensures that subsystems suppliers also understand requirements, inter-dependencies, and interfaces with other subsystems to ensure that their subsystems can be efficiently integrated into the system and help meet the system expectations

* Qualifications and Competencies: *

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

• 0 to 3 years experience with both hot oil and steam boilers is preferred

• Experience with Microsoft Office 

• Ability to understand Mechanical layouts, control systems, and control interfaces

• Requirements Analysis and exposure to various requirements analysis tools 

• Systems Modeling and exposure to Modeling tools using SysML 

• Validation and Test plan development, execution coordination, knowledge and exposure to various relevant tools 

• Risk and Defect Management, exposure to defect tracking tools

• Project Management, understand projects schedules, WBS, etc. 

• Ability to work as a team member in a diverse environment
