The IT Vendor Management Lead (Strategic) at Humana is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing our strategic technology partnerships. This role ensures accountability through performance management, adherence to contracts, and robust relationship management. The ultimate goal is to empower our internal partners to focus on delivering solutions that contribute to the optimum member experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing and Procurement: Investigates and evaluates hardware, software, or services to ensure they meet user requirements. Coordinates with procurement to select and negotiate with vendors, ensuring optimal pricing and alignment with IT standards.
Contract and License Management: Reviews and manages licenses and contracts to guarantee comprehensive coverage and documentation of IT equipment.
Vendor Relationship and Service Delivery: Manages the overall relationship with IT vendors, overseeing the delivery of outsourced services and ensuring alignment with business needs.
Performance and Risk Management: Evaluates vendor performance, conducts needs assessments, optimizes expenditures, and manages risks associated with IT vendors.
Strategy Development and Execution: Directs lifecycle activities of contracts, identifies new technology solutions, and collaborates with internal business partners to develop cost-effective strategies that are aligned with business objectives. Leads the strategy for vendor selection and oversees contract negotiations in collaboration with Legal and Contracts departments.
Executive Advisory: Provides strategic advisement to senior leadership on significant matters, helping to shape functional strategies that may be segment specific.
Vendor Management Program Execution: Develops and manages the vendor management program for assigned strategic vendors, fostering a successful IT relationship.
Strategic Consulting: Provides VM consulting support throughout the vendor lifecycle.
Relationship Enhancement: Empowers key relationships through engagement communication plans, satisfaction surveys, and IT vendor committee meetings.
Performance Tracking: Manages and measures vendor performance by aligning it with IT and business strategies, ensuring the realization of contracted benefits.
Vendor Portfolio Management: Maintains detailed vendor profiles and explores new opportunities for strategic growth and innovation.

Required Qualifications
You must be authorized to work in the US without Humana sponsorship as Humana does not provide work visa sponsorship for this role.
Bachelor's degree or at least 7 years of experiencein vendor and/or contract management
7+ years of experience managing top tier IT suppliers as a vendor or contract manager or IT sales
2+ years of project leadership experience leading cross-functional teams
Collaborative and consultative across multi-disciplinary teams, both internal and external to an organization
Must be a self-starter and passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of Service Now experience
Exposure of Fieldglass

Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$112,400 - $154,900 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
