We are seeking a people leader responsible for critical digital channels and banking products, operations, and reporting. As the MIM Director, you will be a champion for improvements to customer-facing systems and applications with a focus on performance and stability.

Through people, process, and technology, you will deliver high availability of critical systems for our customers, and engage with other Ally teams to onboard new products and services, as well as design solutions to improve operational performance and solve complex problems.

The Work Itself

  • Lead Ally’s Global Command Center and Major Incident Management processes, which provides 7 x 24 operations support leveraging vendor managed services and employees
  • Ownership and management of relationship with operations managed service provider, including performance management, issue resolution and monthly operational reporting process
  • Leverage data/analytics to highlight value to the organization, drive decisions, and provide insights to gain consensus and support from tech partners
  • Lead incident triaging calls with technology teams and vendors while keeping impacted senior business leaders informed of status updates
  • Leverage and continue to grow extensive monitoring capabilities to prevent, quickly detect, and remediate incidents to limit impacts to our customers
  • Lead disaster recovery plans and event execution
  • Advance and mature operational processes to provide structured, repeatable response that continue to focus on improved time to detect and resolve.

The Skills You Bring

  • 7+ years of professional experience; Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or similar fields
  • Proven track record of providing thought leadership in the technology area and applying technology to solve business problems
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization across technology and business; expertise in translating detailed technical problems/solutions into easily understood business terms
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to ask the right questions and effectively diagnose the root cause of technical issues
  • Experience with leading banking vendors and solutions, including supporting core banking technology
  • Demonstrated financial discipline and thoughtful business case creation
  • Experience with AWS tools, microservices, production support, service management, and ITIL experience
  • Experience working with and leading onshore and offshore teams; ability to develop talent and deepen bench strength
  • Demonstrated effective and professional communication skills; collaborative and team-focused with an eagerness to learn
  • Ability to occasionally work off-hours / weekends #li-hybrid

Base Pay Range:

Emerging: 135000

Experienced: 185000

Expert: 235000

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan
