In this position...

The SalesForce CRM Product Line Manager will work with individual product team managers to iteratively deliver functionality that optimizes for assigned product line. This position requires knowledge of the Salesforce platform and an ability to make holistic decisions based on new feature intake requests as the platform operates as an ecosystem. This is a hands on role, working directly with CRM product line leads to deliver best in class solutions leveraging the capabilities available in the Salesforce platform.

Although this is a fully remote position, we prefer candidates who are able to work or relocate to the Dearborn MI area in a hybrid work schedule. The SalesForce CRM Product Line Manager will work EST hours with expected travel to the Dearborn area approximately 4-6X/ year

SOUTHEAST MI RESIDENTS: Please note, this job is posted as remote unless the selected candidate lives within 50 miles of Dearborn, MI, then if may require hybrid onsite schedule, up to 60% of the time.

What you'll do...

  • Maintain a balance between business viability, user desirability and technical feasibility while delivering software products with a team.

  • Ensure cohesive design, rather than use case (siloed) design to ensure global best practices are followed.

  • Work closely with other Product Line Managers and Anchor as well as Business Partners to define new feature requests and break it down into an actionable backlog of user stories for the development team.

  • Work hands-on with the Product Line Anchor and other development team staff to prioritize, plan, and deliver software that creates excellent user experiences.

  • Collaborate with CRM product teams and interfacing teams to define specifications, requirements, and acceptance criteria for deliverables.

  • Help Business Partners understand our iterative development approach and focus on delivering a Minimum Viable Product through careful and deliberate prioritization.

  • Ensure product design is a key component to feature definition to ensure global alignment of common user interface components and timely delivery of accurate designs and assets to the development team.

  • Conduct product experiments, user interviews and other validation techniques to gather feedback and product insights

  • Create assets to guide product development work (Discovery, Capability Models, Framing and Scoping documents, opportunity trees, user stories).

  • Mentor and train other PMs to help them learn agile/XP methods, product management techniques and build skills.

  • Help innovate and iterate on agile PM processes and share our learnings.

  • Be hands on in sub-epic and feature definition providing fully defined user stories to product teams for delivery.

  • Adherence to agile best practices including use of Scaled Agile Framework and Kanban methodologies.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience

  • 4+ years of experience in a software delivery/development environment

  • 5+ years of experience with delivery/development on the Salesforce platform with a preference of experience in Salesforce “Core” – Sales and/or Service Cloud

  • 3+ years of experience defining product vision, strategy, product roadmaps and building and managing backlogs

  • 3+ years of experience writing sub-epics, features and user stories

  • 2+ years working with Agile software methodologies (Scrum, eXtreme Programming, Kanban)

Salesforce Certifications Required:

  • Salesforce Certified Associate

  • Salesforce Certified Business Analyst

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator

  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator

Even better, you may have...

  • Master's degree

  • Skilled at defining and prioritizing product features.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to teach others.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and navigate complex decision making.

  • Ability to collaborate well with engineers, designers, and business partners.

  • Previous success delivering a product to market with an Agile development team, and ongoing development and support of production applications.

  • Curious about new technologies and exhibit a strong desire to learn.

  • Practice in Lean/Lean Startup thinking, human-centered product development and Agile Software development

  • Have exposure to lightweight product development methods such as user story mapping and/ or rapid prototyping
