Overview
Senior Product Development Analyst ObjectiveTo perform product research, analysis and design, and to compose and interpret contract language for property/casualty (P/C) lines of business. To prepare related documentation, including development of rules for manual pages and preparation of forms and rules filings for the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS). To work as subject matter expert on corporate plan projects.
Responsibilities
Senior Product Development Analyst ResponsibilitiesComply with regulatory requirements through the research and development of product language for applicable documents on assigned product lines. Train and mentor less experienced product analysts. Monitor and evaluate competition on assigned product lines. Assist in training representatives from underwriting, claims, and marketing when new products are introduced to Farm Bureau agents.
Qualifications
Senior Product Development Analyst Qualifications RequiredBachelor's degree with a major in insurance, business, economics, or related field of study required, or equivalent experience may be considered. Four years' experience in property/casualty insurance business with focus on underwriting, claims, product development, or other comparable experience required. Experience with Microsoft Office products required. Commitment to insurance continuing education programs required. PreferredStrong writing skills in English grammar and language required. Designation in CPCU or similar insurance designations preferred. Note If a candidate is not selected, a Product Development Analyst will be considered on the level of experience and qualifications.
