Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The coordinator is a registered nurse who assists in the coordination, direction, and evaluation of patient care; unit and staff activities on the heart team of the open-heart patient. The coordinator is responsible for educating and training staff members of the heart team.

  • This position is represented by CNA and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Must have 1 year current experience in open-heart care.

  • Graduate of accredited School of Nursing

  • RN = RN license from NV State Nursing Board.

  • CT CPRBLS = CT-AHA-BASIC LIFE SUPPORT-Nat'l

  • CT ACLS = CTADV CARDIAC LIFE SUPP-Nat'l;

  • CT PALS - CT-PEDIATRIC ADV LIFE SUPP-Nat'l

  • Demonstrates organizational skill and leadership ability.

  • Required to be flexible in scheduling, i.e., weekends, holidays, and on call.

  • Perioperative training in the Operating Room environment w/2 years minimum Operating Room experience.

  • Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Preferred:

  • 2 years OR experience.

Pay Range

$51.65 - $71.64 /hour
