Robert Half Director of Global Procurement in Las Vegas, Nevada

Description

We are in search of a Director of Global Procurement to join our team located in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role will be instrumental in managing procurement processes, working with cross-functional teams, and fostering supplier relationships. The Director of Global Procurement will also be focused on strategic planning and cost optimization for our company in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to meet business objectives

• Lead and mentor the sourcing team, providing guidance and performance management

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as R& D, Quality Assurance, Production, and Supply Chain to optimize the sourcing process

• Build and manage relationships with key suppliers, including negotiations on contracts, terms, and pricing

• Regularly review supplier performance and implement improvement plans as necessary

• Collaborate with Production, R& D, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely and accurate procurement of materials

• Partner with the Supply Chain team to maintain optimal inventory levels

• Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or supply reliability

• Conduct market research and cost analysis to identify potential savings and efficiencies

• Monitor and manage the sourcing budget to ensure optimal resource allocation.

Requirements • Proven experience in a leadership role within a procurement department, preferably at a global level

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems

• Demonstrated expertise in budget processes and buying processes

• Experience in corporate procurement and global procurement

• Ability to devise and implement strategic plans for procurement

• Knowledge of strategic pricing and global strategic sourcing

• Strong executive leadership skills

• Proficiency in KPI reporting

• Ability to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms effectively

• Experience in supplier performance management

• Proven ability to maintain adequate inventory levels

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred

• Relevant certifications in procurement or supply chain management would be advantageous.
