SUMMARY: Ensures that new employees experience a high quality, friendly and effective introduction to the company, its culture, policies, procedures and practices by providing effective new employee orientation, leadership orientation and other leadership and operations training programs.

MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of four (4) years experience in Human Resources, Training and Development, or the hospitality fields preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, letters of complaint, statistical reports, policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively present information to customers, guests, employees and/or management in a classroom setting
  • Experience with effective leadership techniques, program/system planning, decision making, staff development, statistical reporting/analysis, and cost benefit analysis required
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively organize materials, set priorities, and provide feedback or follow up.
  • Proven experience providing high level of guest service
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Bachelors degree in business administration, human resources, or related area or three to five years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent computer skills, (proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint,
  • Experience as a learning management system administrator preferred
  • Experience developing and editing online training content preferred
  • Spanish communication skills (written, verbal, and translation) highly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in English both written and verbal
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
  • Verify right to work in the United States

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Assists with the planning, development, and implementation of the property's new employee orientation, leadership orientation and other training programs for staff and leadership

Facilitates training classes and programs both in-person and online aligned with current learning objectives and approved curriculum.

Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference workshops

Provides statistical and performance feedback and tests trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training. Reports on progress of employees and departments under guidance during training periods

Provides continual evaluation of processes and procedures and provides suggestions for methods to improve the quality of leadership, area operations, efficiency, and service

Works with Human Resources staff and departmental leadership to ensure new employee orientation, leadership training and specific guest service training modules are conducted in accordance with standards of expectation

Creates internal materials to effectively communicate current events regarding training and Human Resources activities

Responsible for administrative tasks, such as tracking internal and/or external training, maintaining class materials and trainee records

Formulates training outlines as needed for job standards to ensure all employees understand and have the skills to provide quality internal and external customer service
