The Senior Patient Care Coordinator performs a wide variety of duties associated with patient services. This position is responsible for all components of the patient experience ranging from patient in-take, office visit, patient close-out, and appointment scheduling. The position also oversees the reporting function for the clinic including compliance specific reports as well as corporate statistics.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM

Location: 2716 N Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a resource for customer service questions and or concerns related to referrals and or prior authorizations

  • Train all new Navigators, perform audits, cover PTO/call offs, and work with the navigators on process improvements

  • Confirming all necessary documents and information has been provided, sending back for additional information, cancelling those that do not meet criteria or do not have necessary information required within a specified time frame, forwarding to MD review if questionable, accepting referrals and determining if the referral meets outsource or overflow criteria

  • Building, submitting, processing, scheduling, and following through with specialty referrals

  • Extensive work experience within own function.

  • Work is frequently completed without established procedures.

  • Works independently

  • May act as a resource for others

  • May coordinate others' activities.

  • Extensive work experience within own function

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)

  • 1+ years of experience in a medical, managed care, or health care setting

  • 1+ years of experience to mentor and train others

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office programs

  • Possess basic knowledge of medical terminology

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time to nearby offices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in a lead position

Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Nevada residents is $19.47 to $38.08 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
