Summary

As the Sr. Director SAP Finance, you will work closely with SAP staff and IT & Business stakeholders identify appropriate SAP solutions to business requirements in SAP ECC and S/4 HANA. High-level job duties include but are not limited to research, tool evaluation, defining technology strategy, technology evaluation and recommendation, solution architecture for complex business requirements, and mentoring team members through hands-on assistance as well as formal, and informal training and technical development. In this role, you will rely on your extensive experience, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals as well as anticipate future business needs and design for appropriate extensibility working alongside our dynamic team.

This position will support our IT team and is eligible to work a remote schedule.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning, and implementation of SAP solutions in Finance area

  • Provide leadership and direction for the Finance key functional areas.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Designing and implementing solutions that meet business needs and are aligned with the overall IT strategy.

  • Manage change effectively, ensuring that stakeholders are engaged and informed throughout the process.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including business leaders and IT teams.

  • Assist staff members with requirements gathering, perform fit-gap analysis, design, support development, functional unit testing, support user acceptance testing for SAP Finance processes.

  • Oversee production support activities through incident and problem management processes.

  • Ensure system changes (Solution updates, Maintenance & Upgrades, WRICEF development, configurations, etc.) are properly tested in Finance processes and integrations.

  • Work with business users to understand their issues and new requirements, perform proof of concepts, prepare solution options, and present it to business users.

  • Build relationships with business leaders and become trusted advisors for them

  • Work with cross-team leaders and team members in SFDC, Integration, BI, and other non-SAP applications to design efficient and secure data exchange integrations.

  • Effectively work with business and IT team to prioritize and plan implementation of changes.

  • Provides leadership and mentoring to team members

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred from an accredited college or university in a Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combinaton of education and experience

  • 15+ years of experience in the related field in a large corporation or consulting environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 10+ years of SAP Finance experience in SAP ECC and/or S/4 HANA implementations production support, migrations, and upgrades.

  • Expert knowledge of system configuration in SAP Finance processes in SAP ECC and/or S/4 HANA

  • Strong in-depth knowledge and experience in General Ledger, Accounts Receivables & Payables, Assets, Consolidation, and Close processes.

  • Strong knowledge of SAP Finance master data; Customer, Material, etc.

  • Strong knowledge of Finance data flow, and data structures and functionalities.

  • Strong knowledge of integration between SAP SD, MM, SCM, and FI modules.

  • Experience with supporting different types of implementations including: enhancement/support projects, new development projects and third party package software

  • Must have strong communication skills, facilitates meetings and work with external consulting companies.
