SUPERVISOR - MRO STOREROOM

The MRO Storeroom Coordinator has responsibility for daily operations of the MRO Storeroom. This position will ensure the supply of materials from point of purchase to the deployment or use of the material by maintaining accurate inventories in serviceable condition. The position is responsible for maintaining inventory, ensuring service levels and avoiding over stocks and for implementing and sustaining MRO material management processes. Works with the MRO onsite provider.

In conjunction with corporate purchasing/procurement which will take the lead role the MRO Storeroom Supervisor will procure Capital equipment, Fabrication, Energy, and other major spend items. This position will have purchasing oversight of Office Supplies and facilities services leveraging corporate agreements to gain cost savings and efficiency.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE MRO STOREROOM SUPERVISOR Supervises union employees. Ensures that accurate material records are valid and accurate. Maintains a secure storeroom with counter service provided to customers. After-hours access is controlled with limited access and accountability. Cycle counting is completed per schedule with accuracy reported by net adjustments for on hand quantity and dollar value. Conducts internal/external audits as requested. Materials are issued at the time of removal from their bin location. Real time inventory accuracy is maintained. Ensures the correct service levels are maintained (fill rates/stock-outs) and overstocks are avoided. Conducts quality control for incoming materials to ensure correct materials are received. Manages repairable materials for external and internal repair materials. Responsible for proper storage of MRO and spare parts. Support the criticality ranking of store stock materials. Utilize criticality rating for managing store stock service levels. Manage obsolete material review and disposition process. Manage kitting process to support work order planning. * Coordinate new MRO or spare parts additions to ensure additions are a business decision by the appropriate plant personnel. Support equipment bill of material development. Provide material planning input for use in the development vendor managed inventory. Manage process for returning materials back to store stock inventory or external vendors. Manage and coordinate procurement for after-hour emergency purchasing. * Track and achieve best-in-class for key materials management performance metrics. Manage day to day communication and material MRO order status with plant purchasing team and onsite MRO provider. Make fact-based decisions to meet internal customer demands to optimize the total cost of ownership for the organization, including factors such as: Price, Quality, and Availability Oversee mission critical quality requirements including coordination support for instrument and test equipment calibration and testing. Follow the Corporate Procurement SOPs, Strategies, and Policies. Perform all other duties and special projects as assi ned.

REQUIRED FOR THE MRO STOREROOM SUPERVISOR Associates degree in a relevant field preferred. High school diploma required. 2+ years of storeroom supervisor experience Strong MS Office skills and experience working with an integrated CMMS preferred. SAP familiarity preferred. Open and candid communications style; willingness to dissent and encourage dissent prior to final decision making preferred Ability to lead others and to effectively manage individual employee performance preferred Ability to train and develop other professionals preferred. High responsiveness to customer requests preferred. Superior negotiation skills preferred. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate technical and business decisions preferred. Ability to be a team player; routinely influence and lead business improvement efforts preferred. Ability to assist others in the use of statistical methods and provide support to others for experimental design preferred. Excellent business writing skills preferred.
