ManTech Software Engineer in Laurel, Maryland
ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer to join our team in Laurel, Maryland . The position is part of a team that provides development support for an organization that is tasked with dissemination of data to various customers within the Intelligence Community.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Developing, maintaining, and enhancing software systems
Reviewing and testing software components
Resolving software problem reports
Utilizing software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment
Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
Write or review software and system documentation
Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components
Ensure quality control of all developed and modified software
Debug existing software and correct defects
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 2 years of experience, or four (4) additional years of experience are required in lieu of degree.
Ability to obtain one of the following certifications within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order: Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Java 8+ and Spring Boot for building scalable, high-performance backend systems.
Familiarity with REST APIs for building and consuming web services.
Knowledge of Apache Maven for build automation and dependency management.
Experience with Git for version control and collaborative development.
Expertise with Docker for containerization and application deployment.
Proficiency in Linux (BASH) for server management and scripting.
Knowledge of Apache NiFi for automating and managing data flows.
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI with polygraph
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
