Position Summary Information

General Summary

TheStudent Intern – Cyber Securitywill focus on incident and event response, and monitor infrastructure alerts from tools such as Splunk, Sentinel One, DarkTrace, Varonis and Mimecast.

Essential Functions

Work closely with Cyber Security Services Team to gain experience protecting WSSC Water ratepayers, workforce, and networks and data.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Coursework in Computer Science and/or Cyber Security

Minimum Education, Experience Requirements

Completion of 2+ years college coursework towards a degree in Computer Science and/or Cybersecurity.

Additional Requirements

Proficient in using MS Office applications

Preferences

Demonstrated basic knowledge of threat intelligence, forensics, log analysis,and/or entry level cyber security certificate (Security Plus)
