TEKsystems Coding Auditor in Lawrenceville, Georgia

Description:

Certified Coder will go through previously coded medical records to research and uncover errors to re-code and resubmit to insurance for payment of claims.

Additionally, they will audit existing codes to ensure proper coding prior to submission to insurance payers.

Monitors accuracy of coders’ charge capture and coding with proper ICD-10, CPTs, as well as proper modifiers, adhering to local practices and policies.

Partners with leadership to improve HCC, high risk scoring, with provider and coder education.

Certifications:

Preferred: RHIT or RHIA

Will consider coders with CCS or CPC

Onsite Training

This will require 30-60 days of onsite training in Lawrenceville, the training length depends on how quickly the candidate picks up on the systems/process, once training is complete this position will be 100% remote
