About the position:

We’re looking for a Quality Manager who works closely with Manufacturing and Engineering to evaluate and resolve technical problems. Regularly performs root cause analysis for issues affecting, quality, cost, and delivery. Under limited supervision, uses extensive technical skills, expertise, and knowledge of quality techniques as applied to electro-mechanical assemblies and wireharnesses. Provides project leadership and develops processes/procedures for Quality Systems. Understanding of TPS and continuous improvement is a plus.

  • Develop the Quality Management System for the business unit.
  • Implement ISO 9001 as part of the corporate strategy.
  • Investigate, determine root cause, and implement corrective actions for business unit.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings – understanding of electrical drawings a plus.
  • Ability to develop a process when given an assigned end state.
  • Able to train others in complex technical tasks. Able to develop and document training standards and maintain a schedule for training activities consistent with the needs of the department and external customers.
  • Evaluates technical quality problems and develops solutions to such problems, with appropriate documentation (e.g. engineering changes or quality system procedures)
  • Supervise engineers, technicians, and inspectors as required.

    About you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in applicable engineering field; 5-8 years or more relevant work experience

  • Previous quality engineering experience highly desired

  • Prior leadership experience is strongly preferred.

It would be great if you had:

  • Knowledge of quality systems used in the manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and MS Project.
  • Experience with Toyota Production Systems
  • Experience with Part Production Approval Process
  • Understanding of Lean Techniques and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with ISO9001 above the level of individual auditor.

About the total compensation package:

Salary - $99,300 - $128,200 per year. Compensation commensurate with selected candidate’s education and experience.

Relocation - This position may qualify for relocation.
