Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand prevailing trends and best practices in actuarial software modelling for life insurance companies in North America, in particular regarding the latest Statutory and GAAP standards (VM-20, LDTI, IFRS 17 etc.).
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in all aspects of actuarial modelling including pricing, valuation, financial reporting, ALM, experience studies, source of earnings analysis and capital calculations.
  • Assist frontline sales reps in understanding market opportunities and qualifying potential leads for AXIS.
  • Assist frontline sales reps in creating outreach initiatives for AXIS.
  • Articulate and conducts in-depth product feature benefit discussions as they relate to Moody\'s Analytics AXIS product offering.
  • Participate in customer facing meetings to align strategies and determine business and methodological requirements that will be used in providing solutions.
  • Gain customer acceptance of Moody\'s Analytics products by explaining and/or demonstrating improvements in actuarial modelling.
  • Work closely with the frontline sales team on proposals, Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) responses.
  • Lead trials of AXIS from start to successful completion and ensure a smooth handover to the customer success team for implementation after contract signature.
  • Document market feedback regarding product experience and desired enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Actuary with FSA, FCIA or similar professional designations.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in the life insurance industry and/or life insurance software industry.
  • Strategic, analytical, operations-focused, able to recognize market opportunities.
  • Deep understanding of actuarial modeling techniques.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to listen to requirements and business problems in order to respond with the appropriate business answer.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure deadline oriented environment.
  • Ability to comprehend, apply and communicate abstract actuarial concepts.
  • Ability to work productively and cooperatively in a structured and rigorous team environment.
  • Public speaking experience or internal lead on training within an organization is a plus.
  • Experience with complex sales cycles is a plus.
  • Hands on experience using AXIS is essential.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[\$133,000 - [[\$173,000, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
