Position Summary:

Assembler I. Assembles aluminum boats and / or sub-assemblies, partially or completely, working at bench, or in a boat, or on shop floor.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.

• Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners. Using jigs, and gluing.

• Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and shears to produce close fit between parts.

• Operates drill presses, punch presses, air tools or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation.

• Installs seats, bases, pedestals, consoles, cables, controls, graphics, etc.

• Responsible for following the quality systems procedures.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED preferred; previous experience in boat assembly preferred.
