IT Support Specialist The IT Support Specialist position serves as the first point of contact for internal customers seeking technical assistance from the Information Technology Department, either remotely or in-person utilizing the Help Desk System. Position is located in Lebanon, MO

  • Perform remote troubleshooting for multiple facilities through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal customers seeking technical assistance over the phone, in person or email.
  • Learn to determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by the customer. Learn to ask questions in order to troubleshoot effectively.
  • Ability to research issues and direct unresolved issues to the next level of support.
  • Record events and problems to include resolutions in work orders and update documentation.
  • Install software, being mindful of licensing and support requirements.
  • Ability to follow checklists and update steps as needed.
  • Work inside the help desk system to monitor tickets, review unassigned tickets, daily updating and closing out tickets. Tickets should provide detailed documentation and notes showing troubleshooting steps and tasks taken to complete the ticket.
  • Complete ownership of new, transfer and reformat computer installations, including following checklists and updating all required documentation.
  • Basic networking and wiring tasks include making cables, patching in network connections and installation of wiring as needed and directed by the team.
  • Moves and changes required on additional hardware to include but not limited to the VoIP system, camera system, access points, and printers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Technical ability in working with computer and software.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical problems.
  • Ability to take directions from others and work within a team environment.

Education or Other Requirements

  • CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license is required.
  • Able to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain certification using various equipment such as but not limited to scissor lifts, boom lifts, and forklifts.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work while standing or sitting for long periods of time.

Lift 25lbs from the floor on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs on occasion.

Mobility to frequently travel between facilities.

Work in a fast-paced environment with quick changing priorities.
