Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN to join our team in the Urology Clinic! This department provides care for adult patients with BPH, Cancer, urinary dysfunction, UTI’s, gender reassignment, and many other general urology conditions. This is a fast paced clinic where we also perform many in-office procedures. We are seeking a well-rounded clinically strong nurse who can work both independently and in collaboration with the entire urology team.

This is a full time, 40 hour a week position but we are flexible and willing to utilize a schedule that works for both you and our team. No weekends and most major holidays off.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process - assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to facilitate continuing health care to individuals, families, and community.

• Identifies common and recurring nursing needs of the patient.

• Recognizes the need for and performs routine office procedures and testing.

• Assists patients to achieve basic health care goals.

• Identifies patient education needs, providing instruction or referring appropriately.

• Assists staff in institutional quality improvement measures and office standards of practice.

• Provides telephone advice to patients per physician specific protocols; refers patients appropriately.

• Participates in staff meetings.

• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.

Required Licensure/Certifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of NH required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required.
