FECON, LLC is a vegetation management equipment manufacturer located in Lebanon, Ohio near Kings Island Amusement Park. Job Summary:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for determining production standards by establishing quality control systems. The QE will identify the specifications for an ideal product, determine the appropriate level of variation and monitoring quality assurance rates. The QE will monitor and improve the quality of our operation processes and outputs.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements quality standards and control systems.

  • Monitors and analyzes quality performance along with reporting to management.

  • Support NPD process with development of control plans and other compliance methods.

  • Inspects and tests materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure compliance.

  • Collaborates with Engineering and Operations to develop and implement Built in Quality.

  • Investigates and troubleshoots manufacturing, quality, and assembly issues.

  • Manage quality escapes, confirm containment, and ensure corrective actions.

  • Manage compliance to engineering changes.

  • Perform internal audits.

  • Reviews requirements, specifications, and processes for compliance.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Familiar with PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP’s, Internal Audits and Quality Controls

  • Problem solving skills using the A3 Process including 5 Whys, Fishbone Analysis, Etc.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Close attention to detail.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

  • Works as a self-starter with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience:

  • Engineering/Science degree is preferred or 7+ years of manufacturing quality experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in a quality role within manufacturing.

  • Experience in product inspection for manufacturing.

  • Experience working with ISO9001 Requirements.

  • Experience with Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • ASQ CQE preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

  • Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery.
