Location/Division Specific Information:

This is a remote, U.S.-based role. US Eastern time zone is preferred.

How will you make an impact?

The IT Senior Business Analyst for Commercial Platforms will support key digital offerings within the group/division that drive new revenue growth and improve operational efficiencies. Core responsibilities include analyzing, designing, and documenting business requirements for strategic commercial initiatives, with a focus on contracts and pricing. You will ensure accurate translation of requirements to functional/technical specifications and guide the solution delivery team through the lifecycle of IT projects. Successful candidates for this role should possess a solid understanding of both business and technology, a proven track record in implementing and delivering technology solutions, and the ability to effectively collaborate with senior leaders and teams from diverse functions.

Responsibilities:

Business Analysis and Documentation:

  • Lead and facilitate requirements workshops, documenting detailed functional, technical, reporting, and data requirements.

  • Conduct IT due diligence on new initiatives to ensure viability, identify benefits and risks, and propose appropriate risk mitigation solutions.

  • Produce functional design documentation and create test scenarios for applications and enhancements.

Solution Development and Implementation:

  • Work with multi-functional teams, including Commercial Operations, Finance, Legal, Enterprise Technology Organization (ETO), and others.

  • Map requirements to IT systems, including CLM, CPQ, and ERP systems.

  • Develop proposals and evaluate problem statements, root causes, and impact.

  • Apply and advocate for agile techniques to achieve successful project implementations.

  • Drive planning, prioritization, design, development, and deployment of new projects and system enhancements.

  • Participate in the change management and launch support processes.

  • Coordinate and perform system testing, working closely during user acceptance testing (UAT) to track issues through to resolution.

Continuous Improvement and Technology Practice:

  • Proactively support the development of technology practices and stay updated on Salesforce and CPQ features/releases/products.

  • Leverage business knowledge and expertise to find opportunities for process improvements and serve as a trusted technology advisor for business users.

  • Maintain a high-level familiarity with other IT system/business application capabilities to make recommendations for integration or functionality intersection points.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or another technical field.

  • Salesforce Administrator and/or Business Analyst Certification preferred

Requirements:

  • Expertise in SalesForce SalesCloud

  • Proficient in Oracle or SalesForce CPQ

  • 5+ yrs IT BA experience preferably in Pricing, Contracts, Sales or marketing, that includes hands on responsibilities within a major, multi-unit company; multi-national experience preferred.

  • Some travel may be needed

  • Experience in complex Digital Transformation projects/programs and initiatives that span multiple divisions at global scale.

  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and provide internal or external solutions; able to

  • Collaborative style with ability to work within a matrixed environment, influencing outcomes and leading change.

  • Flexible with an ability to effectively prioritize and deal with ambiguity while working across time zones, in sophisticated projects, and in varied work locations.

  • Work autonomously with a bias for action and perseverance.

  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Understanding of IT Strategy & Enablement, IT Service Management, IT Operating Model, Service Architecture, IT Sourcing and Enterprise Architecture

  • Qualification in Project Management and ITIL or equivalent.
