Monday thru Thursday.

6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Possible OT on Fridays.

Sr Mfg Equipment Maintenance Technician

Lebanon, TN, US (United States) Full-Time Internal/External

Location/Division Specific Information

Now is the time to join our Manufacturing & Distribution team, a team dedicated to ensuring our customers receive the products they need to achieve their scientific goals – quickly, reliably, and safely. Our Lebanon, TN site is looking for a well-rounded Sr. MFG Equipment Maintenance Technician to help support our 400,000 square foot facility and our 60,000 square feet of clean room space that it houses. Position Summary

This position is responsible for performing a full range of maintenance and calibration activities on production and facilities equipment. Required on-the-job training will be supplemented with external coursework, as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Follow all safety and cGMP requirements.

  • Follow work instruction documentation, standard operating procedures (SOP), standard work.

  • Perform preventative, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.

  • Participate in practical process improvement (PPI), Lean and Continuous Improvement, and 5S activities.

  • Perform calibration activities

  • Perform certification of cleanrooms and controlled areas

  • Repair instrumentation electronics and equipment, as requested

  • Keep familiar with operation and maintenance procedures for all equipment in the area of responsibility

  • Troubleshoot all assigned equipment problems and supervise the operation of the equipment

  • Design and fabricate parts and small systems

  • Install and monitor new equipment

  • Complete all required paperwork, work orders, inventory request, and requisitions

  • Keep the shop and lab area clean and organized

Minimum Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, required

  • Attending or have completed Secondary education

  • OR

  • 5+ years of related experience

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to solve complex problems

  • Ability to remain calm and effectively resolve potentially harmful/stressful situations

  • Knowledge of safety practices

  • Knowledge in maintenance trades: electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and mechanical

  • Knowledgeable in common calibrated subject areas: temperature, humidity, pressure, flow, time, mass, and electronic

  • Ability to use various hand and power tools associated with industrial maintenance

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, if needed

  • Desire to support business needs.

  • Highly organized and self-motivated

  • Able and willing to following work instructions, work orders and test protocols

  • Ability to effectively solve complex technical problems

  • Very hands-on work ethic

Additional Qualifications:

  • Willingness to learn HVAC systems such as. Cleanroom Air handling systems, Boilers, Chillers, Make up air handlers.

  • Knowledge of electrical/ mechanical troubleshooting is a plus

  • Willingness to learn vacuum and/or DI water systems.

  • Willingness to learn PLC and VFD programming is a plus

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and push/pull up to 150+ lbs. on regular basis.

  • Frequent stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, pushing, climbing, pulling, grasping, and crawling.

  • Work conditions can include Maintenance shop, lab environment, safety hazards including welding, grinding, electrical work, high-pressure equipment, chemicals, and noise.
