Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Infection Prevention RN you will provide oversight to the infection prevention program for the hospital including surveillance for and prevention and control of healthcare associated and community acquired infections among patients.

What you will do:

• Oversight to infection prevention program for the hospital including surveillance for and prevention and control of healthcare associated and community acquired infections among patients.

• Performs data analysis which guides follow-up activities and evaluates effectiveness of control measures.

• Mandatory public reporting elements and leads initiatives for improving infection prevention and reporting both mandatory and voluntary projects.

• Provides leadership in the implementation of corporate infection control/prevention initiatives.

• Collaborates with HCA division leadership, facility senior and unit based leadership and front-line staff to staff and patient safety and infection prevention.

What qualifications you will need:

• ADN required, BSN Preferred

• Must have a current MO RN license upon hire or a current multistate RN license. If only a multistate RN license is provided upon hire, a MO RN license will be required within 90 days of employment.

• BLS required upon hire

• CIC certification preferred, if not certified at time of hire, must obtain certification within two (2) years from initial employment.

• One (1) year of hospital-based nursing experienced required. One (1) year of Infection Prevention experience preferred.
