As a Senior Backend Java Engineer at Adobe, you will play a vital role in the Engineering team, working on world-class cloud applications that have a global impact. We are looking for someone with 10+ years of strong experience in building and maintaining highly sophisticated cloud applications. Your expertise in system design will have a direct impact on the fundamental architecture of our products. Responsibilities: * Collaborate with diverse teams to capture system requirements and develop solutions that align with business objectives. * Develop and maintain high-quality code for our cloud applications, ensuring scalability and performance * Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our products * Take ownership of the entire software development lifecycle, including QA, build, deployment, and support of production systems * Independently fulfill tasks with limited structure and minimal direction from management Requirements: * Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science (preferred), or equivalent experience in the field. * 8+ years expertise across Java, JavaScript and Node.js * Solid understanding of data technologies, including databases, distributed eventing, and search indexes * Familiarity with cloud-native microservice and container deployment runtimes, such as Kubernetes, Docker, Azure, and AWS * Experience working with Spring Boot, microservices and serverless technologies * 5+ years experience implementing OSGi components and Sling servlets to extend and customize AEM Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $154,000 -- $278,800 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
