Description Robert Half is currently working with a dynamic client seeking a Purchasing Assistant. The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for supporting the purchasing department. Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills are required for this Purchasing Assistant position. The ideal Purchasing Assistant will have previous purchasing or procurement experience and a desire to advance their career. Key responsibilities

• Manage inventory levels for multiple departments

• Perform data entry of daily purchase orders

• Examine and contrast goods, suppliers, and services

• Help with any additional duties of the purchasing department

• Review that received orders have all necessary information

• Work with vendors and suppliers, always providing superior customer service Requirements - Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Previous experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar position

• Proficiency in CRM, ERP, and inventory management software programs

• Degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferred

• High school diploma or GED required

• Must be skilled in analytical thinking and research

• Strong documentation and organization skills
