THE MAX Challenge Fitness Center Assistant in Lewes, Delaware

Job Summary

The Assistant position is a part time position.  The assistant will be working in THE MAX Challenge of Lewes, located at 17437 Ocean One Plaza, Suite #2, Lewes, DE 19958.  The person in this role will be assisting with administrative, operational, and marketing functions.

Responsibilities and Duties

Administrative:

  • Scanning and archiving documents

  • Contact with members and prospects through phone calls, texts and emails

  • Assistant will be trained to work in ClubReady, MAX Connect, HiLevel, and THE MAX Challenge App, programs used for sales, inventory purchasing, and client interface

Operational:

  • Opening or closing the center as directed

  • Greeting members as they come into the center and saying goodbye to members as they leave

  • Assisting instructors and owners with equipment set up and cleaning between classes

  • Taking Before/After photos of members

  • Creating blackboard display and changing it as directed

  • Assisting with in-center events (ex. celebrations and protein sampling)

  • Distributing apparel orders to members

Marketing:

  • Creating and posting social media content on both public and private pages

  • Assistant will be trained on SOCi, a marketing platform and will be scheduling social media posts using SOCi

  • Possible attendance at Chamber of Commerce and trade show events

The Assistant position reports directly to the owners of THE MAX Challenge of Lewes and plays an important role in creating a positive, welcoming environment for THE MAX Challenge members.

Qualifications and Skills

  • We are looking for candidates who enjoy working with the public and are customer service oriented.  

  • The person in this role will need to be able to work in an atmosphere where music will be playing for 45 minutes at a time during classes.

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 is a plus

  • Creativity and social media experience is a plus

  • Person will need to arrive at specified start time
