Candidates with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical users in an understandable and concise manner while solving complex technical issues will be preferred for the PC Technician opening at Robert Half. Come work as a long-term contract / temporary PC Technician in the Lewes, Delaware, region.

What you get to do every single day:

• Break down, box and ship old equipment

• Retain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and solutions or installations

• Handle take down, packaging, transportation and setup/installation on site

• Interface with ticket submitters regularly and effectively

• Ensure the integrity of all electronic data records by following company quality standards

• Arrange for repairs through the appropriate vendors

• Install and repair printers, troubleshooting problems as needed

• Oversee data transfers from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware and break/fix

• Help test functionality and support end users

• Own and execute technology implementation projects

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish a variety of computer hardware, including PCs, laptops, monitors, servers and other IT equipment

• Handle all imaging and preparation tasks for new computers

• Track equipment inventory and collaborate on potential purchases

  Requirements

• Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work

• Be able to adapt and thrive in constantly changing environments

• Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently

• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• A certification in CompTIA A+ is mandatory

• No stranger to network design and implementation strategies

• 2+ years of experience supporting PC and Mac hardware and software, as well as knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN

• EO/IR systems experience required

• Comprehensive knowledge of Dell Technologies

• Strong familiarity with Microsoft

• Deskside Support experience highly preferred

• Practical knowledge of Deployments

• Operating System experience highly desired

• Foundational knowledge in Networking

• Adeptness in Active Directory

• General familiarity with configuration management

• Demonstrated knowledge of Computer Hardware
