Savannah Animal Hospital, located in historic Lewes, DE is seeking a full-time Kennel Assistant for our busy multi-doctor general practice animal hospital.

Duties:

• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the hospital, kennels, cages, treatment areas, and outside yards, i.e., mop floors, wipe down surfaces/equipment, empty trash, remove animal waste including litter boxes, and ensure facility is always odor-free.
• Upkeep of high-volume laundry, fold towels, and store in designated cabinets.
• Wash dishes, bowls, toys, and other equipment.
• Feed, water, and walk hospitalized pets.
• Administer medications to pets.
• Run basic labs such as fecal and heartworm tests.
• Bathe pets and perform nail trims.
• Assist medical staff with treatments and restraint of animals.
• Interact frequently with clients both in person and via telephone.
• Prepare client invoices and document accurate notes in medical records system.
• Other duties as assigned.
