Job Summary

Transport heavy equipment to and from project sites for road construction.

Main Responsibilities

Move heavy equipment efficiently and safely. Operation of equipment for loading and unloading from lowboy safely. Properly secure load according to DOT regulations. Safety for yourself, co-workers and the traveling public. Maintain an excellent driving record by falling all laws under the DOT, FMCSA, State and Federal governments. Daily inspections Reporting any maintenance or repair needs immediately.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent experience. CDL Class A

Skills

Knowledge of construction equipment. Capable of operating various types of equipment. Knowledge of the operation of a lowboy trailer. Flatbed / lowboy experience. Work independently and efficiently. Safety oriented. Solid understanding of DOT Regulations Organization skills with the ability to prioritize.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work various shifts and long hires at times. Safely climb in and out of equipment. Some heavy lifting. Able to meet DOT guidelines for securing loads. Adaptable to changing weather conditions.
