LC State invites applications for the position of Videographer & Media Specialist

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: \$54,000 - \$60,000

Degree Required:Bachelor\'s degree in videography, marketing, or related field from a regionally accredited college or university.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of three years of video production experience.
  2. Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  3. Extensive knowledge of equipment and peripherals for producing videos and other media, including cameras, computers, editing software, digital audio recording devices and consoles, and lighting.
  4. Ability to perform all aspects of video production (from start to finish).

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Expertise/experience in creating online video content, for both website needs and social media.
  2. Video advertising background.
  3. Excellent creative thinking skills and adept at concept creation.
  4. Ability to function as a one-person video production office.
  5. Experience with online video streaming technology.
  6. Photography experience.

Responsibilities:

The Videographer reports to the Director of Communications & Marketing, a member of the President\'s Cabinet, and works closely alongside the director to meet the video production needs of the department and college overall. The position requires a broad skillset that can handle all aspects of video production and can work autonomously as needed. Video content is focused primarily on marketing, recruitment, and presidential initiatives and communications.

Essential functions:

  1. Produce video content for marketing needs, including advertisements and content for the main website and social media pages.
  2. Serve as a key member of the college\'s marketing team.
  3. Provide video production support and expertise to the campus.
  4. Support campus and department photography needs.
  5. Maintain the studio and its equipment, and manage its use.
  6. Maintain the department\'s video production library.
  7. Support official campus video streaming and broadcast needs.
  8. Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support recruitment and retention of students.
