Covenant Health CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT DYP-$5k Sign-on Bonus in Lewiston, Maine

Sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 for eligible candidates (new hires only).

JOB SUMMARY

The Certified Nursing Assistant partners with our residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care.

The Transitional Rehabilitation Unit occupies the second floor of the d'Youville Pavilion. This 42-bed unit provides short-term, skilled nursing and rehab services to patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other illnesses or injuries of a short-term nature where a rehab approach might be beneficial. Nursing services often include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

  • Graduate of Maine State Board-approved CNA course

  • Valid on the State of Maine CNA registry

    EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3 years previous CNA experience preferred

  • Will consider new CNA's with relevant work experience

    OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Medical terminology preferred

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills are required.

  • The ability to work well within a team of other care providers

  • Flexibility required to cover 24 hours/day, 7 days per week

  • Flexibility to float to other units as needed
