Covenant Health EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT TECHNICIAN I in Lewiston, Maine

JOB SUMMARY

The ED Tech is an essential member of the Patient Focused Care Team, responsible for performing patient care and other related duties with supervision in accordance with established policies and procedures.

St. Mary's Emergency Department offers a full spectrum of emergency care and a separate chest pain center. We build strong relationships with tertiary hospitals to ensure the best possible care for patients. The Emergency Center is staffed 24 hours per day with Emergency Medicine Physicians. The team is made up of specially trained nurses, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners. Many specialties such as cardiology, neurology, orthopedists, and psychiatrist are available around the clock to assist in the care of our patients.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Must be either registered CNA or EMT-B certified. BLS certification required

    EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3 years previous experience preferred

    OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills required
