The Strategist is responsible for working with all coworkers to identify, lead and deploy continuous improvement ideas, support Lean strategies and drive corrective action improvement for the entire organization. You will spend your time: Leading projects with business process owners to address continuous improvement opportunities, training, and corrective/preventative actions related to production, materials, safety, or quality. Documenting findings from identified opportunities and prepare recommendations for the implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes. Analyze data gathered and develop solutions or alternative methods of proceeding. Suggesting, developing, or implementing programs/projects to address opportunities related to production, materials, safety, or quality. Preparing, reviewing, and publishing project reports per the established schedule to Senior Management. Learning and using Lean principles, business process/risk assessments, project management & meeting facilitation techniques, executing Kaizen/Gemba events, while adhering to standard work practices and procedures. Completing effectiveness reviews with interested parties to ensure the success of newly implemented systems or procedures. Assisting in the effective deployment of continuous improvement projects, facilitating and executing Kaizen/Gemba events, and the systemic improvement of standard work practices and procedures. Partnering with business process owners to implement corrective or preventive actions to assure or improve product quality or reliability. Participating in internal and external audits. Training to become a certified internal auditor within one year of hire. Other work responsibilities as necessary.
