YOGO INN Maintenance Supervisor in LEWISTOWN, Montana

Full Time Position

HOURS: 8 hour shift, week days, weekends, on-call, emergency response

WAGE: $23/hr DOE

OVERVIEW: To supervise the maintenance operations and physical condition of the hotel to ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction within allotted budget.

DUTIES:

  • Has adequate knowledge of and ability to do general construction, repairs, painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, landscaping and other related maintenance. Will need to tend furnace, air conditioner and boiler to provide heat, cool air and hot water for guests.

  • Develops and maintains an ongoing maintenance operation for hotel functions including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, preventive maintenance, hotel rooms, air/heating units, ice machines, swimming pool and hot tub, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, water softeners, switch rooms, roof exhausts, electrical substations, etc.

  • Regularly inspects and evaluates physical condition of entire hotel asset, including all guest rooms, public areas, pool area, etc.; completes and retains inspection reports on a regular and timely basis

  • Has or will obtain a CPO certification to property maintain pool and spa according to health department standards.

  • Required to operate company work vehicle on and around property and off property for off-site business opportunities. Remove snow during winter months on grounds to maintain accessibility.

  • Works closely with other departments and Management to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Completes work assignments on time and by a specified date.

  • Performs work within departmental expense plans. Assists General Manager and Owner in capital budgeting.

  • Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to hotel systems or structures.

  • Keeps maintenance shop tidy and organized in order to be efficient.

  • Attends periodic meetings with General Manager and/or department heads, conducts and/or participates in safety meetings at designated intervals with hotel staff.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Oversees compliance with OSHA standards regarding proper usage, dilution of products, equipment safety and usage as well as blood-borne pathogen precautions and procedures.

  • Work according to a set schedule, including weekends and holidays as required, and on occasion may be consulted by telephone and/or called in to work on short notice in response to emergency or urgent conditions at the property.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience working in maintenance

  • Be able to stand, walk, climb, balance, fully use hands, arms, and legs, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Position requires working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • Non-smoking environment.

  • No drug dependency or impairment issues.
