Title:Conversion Material Handler

Position Objective:Efficiently and accurately bring supplies to the lines and keep lines clear of completed skids.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Available for overtime.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude.
  • Available to train on different machinery and sets of lines within the department.
  • Forklift Operator Certification.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Safety - complies with all written and verbal safety rules of the plant and department including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain good housekeeping.
  • Become familiar with film, chip and corrugated codes.
  • Must show basic familiarity with truck operations.
  • Be able to properly complete a pre-shift truck inspection, as well as complete P.M. checklist daily.
  • Fill the gas tanks at the beginning of the shift.
  • Know the proper placement of all finished product.
  • Basic math skills to accurately order material needed for change-over's.
  • Weight scrap gaylords at the end of the shift or at any change-over's.
  • Empty the trash dumpster when needed.
  • Know where to put all finished goods.
  • Know location of cases in the warehouse.
  • Know where to pick up product ordered from the warehouse.
  • Know how to weigh up full gaylords of scrap.
  • Know where to put full gaylords of scrap.
  • Understands that height restrictions for pallet stacking.
  • Knows the location of bulk skids as well as storage locations within the department.
  • Understands the difference between A, B, Peco and Chep pallets.
  • Keep isle ways free of clutter.
  • Must be able to perform all daily task of data entry in the IBS Production System.
  • Must demonstrate active participation in Company's Stretching Program.
