Technical Services Specialist - High Performing Doors - 3097

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Tech Services Specialist to join our High Performance Doors team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for our high-performance door solutions, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, electrical systems, and software integration.

• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams on high-performance door solutions, including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance
• Occasionally perform on-site visits to diagnose and resolve technical issues with high-performance doors and related systems
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve technical issues and implement solutions
• Log calls related to customer inquiries, technical issues, or service requests in a timely and accurate manner using our CRM system
• If site visit is required develop and maintain detailed reports of work performed, including documentation of issues, repairs, and maintenance activities
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and products in the high-performance door industry, staying ahead of the curve in terms of technical knowledge and skills
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeding their expectations
• Collaborate with the operations team to optimize door performance, reducing downtime and improving overall efficiency
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to high-performance doors, including mechanical, electrical, and software components

• Work closely with design engineers to develop new products and improve existing ones

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

• 3+ years of experience in a technical role related to high-performance doors or similar mechanical/electrical systems
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and software integration
• Experience with automation systems and controls preferred
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams
• Ability to work at heights (up to 50 feet) and in confined spaces (as required)
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting up to 50 pounds (as required)
• Valid driver's license (if applicable)

Nice-to-Have: * Experience with CAD design software (e.g. AutoCAD) * Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations (e.g. ASME, NFPA) * Familiarity with commissioning and testing procedures for high-performance doors
