Lockheed Martin Electrical Test Engineer - Special Operations Forces / Lexington, KY in Lexington, Kentucky

Lockheed Martin’s SOF GLSS Team, the leading provider of a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance and sustainment services is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to join the SOF GLSS team in Lexington, KY. The candidate will perform classified duties supporting multiple Special Operations groups.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Electrical Test Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

•Perform modification of military aircraft and ground vehicles to meet evolving operational needs

•Support the customer with a quick turnaround of added capabilities to existing platforms

•Ensure a quality solution that meets all defined requirements

•Perform testing including laser alignments, radio frequency, electromagnetic compliance/interference, circuit and cable

•Write test plans and reports, and use related test equipment throughout the entire process from initial design to final delivery and production support

•Proposal work, develop and track schedules and budgets

•Present results to the team and customer at events like PDR and CDR

•Collaborate with other disciplines

•Meet performance requirements of the SOF Mission area, in a collaborative manner across all functions

•Perform testing and design modifications for military aircraft and ground vehicles

•Ensure quality solution

•Write test plans and reports

•Perform proposal work, schedules, and budget management

•Present results to the team and customer

•Collaborate with other disciplines

Requirements:

•Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

•Experience with military aircraft and ground vehicle modifications

•Familiarity with testing methods and design processes

•Strong problem-solving skills

•Excellent communication and teamwork skills

•Experience with laser alignments, radio frequency, electromagnetic compliance/interference, circuit and cable

•Familiarity with proposal work and schedule and budget management.

This position is located in Lexington, KY Discover Lexington

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Experience writing test plans and reports

• Strong knowledge in test methods and procedures

• Understanding of the systems engineering process

• Demonstrated performance in a fast paced environment

• Skilled in presenting test plans & results to customers to get approval and demonstrate that the system meets all requirements.

• Experience using various types of test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum/network analyzers, laser alignment systems, data acquisition systems

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or 0 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with LaTeX, VBA, LabVIEW, Arduino and MATLAB

• Designing, testing, and troubleshooting printed circuit boards

• Responding to build issues and providing quick resolution to keep production on schedule

• Demonstrated previous success working in a team based environment to meet objectives

• Familiarity with creating schedules, providing project statuses, generating Basis of Estimates (BOEs), and tracking budget requirements

• Government report or thesis writing experience

• Testing Experience

• Aircraft experience a plus including C-130, MH-60, MH-47, A/MH-6

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
