Job SummaryA paid lab-tech position in Molecular Biology is available for a student or recent graduate with a strong desire to learn molecular biological techniques and to do research in the Stamm lab. The student should have at least a Bachelor's degree or should be in a program to obtain a Bachelor's Degree. We are looking for a person working full time for at least one year. Prior experimental experience is a plus. The funding for this project is secured for three years.


The project is centered on circular RNAs generated from the human tau locus that could be involved in Alzheimer's disease (see Welden et al. 2018, PMID: 29729314).

The work involves modern molecular biology techniques, such as Gibson cloning, RT-PCR, Western Blots, cell culture and also purification of circRNA encoded proteins from brain. In addition, lab organization (media, ordering) should be performed.


The working hours are flexible after a training period. The person should work full time (i.e. 35-40 hrs. per week).


The anticipated stay is at least for one year.
