G&J Pepsi-Cola Bottlers, Inc. Operation Warehouse Manager in Lexington, Kentucky

Position Summary To serve our internal and external customers by managing our employees to established standards to ensure the functionality and efficiency of the loading and receiving processes while improving overall system efficiency to help increase company sales and profits. Essential Functions Oversees all Warehouse systems and processes (e.g. Enhanced and Express Loading, Receiving, Inventory and Purchased Product) to ensure maximum operational efficiency and product availability is met. Directs staffing, training and skill development of direct reports to allow for talent management and employee engagement goals to be met. Ensures that company policies, standards and procedures are met, followed and maintained in accordance with established company policy (e.g. OSHA and safety compliance, PepsiCo and AIB standards, Federal, State and Local Laws, product rotation, loading procedures). Communicates with co-workers, employees and suppliers verbally and in writing regarding policy and procedure changes, departmental activities, product availability and needs, operational feedback and other information. Completes preliminary budgetary information, employee performance reviews, code date reports, cup inventory reports and other paperwork according to established company policy; reviews and approves time-off requests and time cards. Maintains confidentiality of financial information, employee information (e.g. discipline, wage information), and other sensitive and confidential information. Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required. Inspects warehouse, outside grounds and truck barn daily to ensure that housekeeping standards are met and maintained according to established standards. Education Level Minimum - 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in logistics, business or related field or equivalent work experience. Experience 3 - 5 years of Warehouse/Distribution management experience required; previous food distribution experience strongly preferred. 3-5 previous supervisory experience. Computer Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Additional Requirements Knowledge of: beverage industry; food distribution process; Good Manufacturing Practices for Food Industry; facility layout, product flow; material handling equipment; Advance Shipment Notification process; logistics; picking procedures; basic DOT rules and regulations; basic financial management; methods and techniques used in accident prevention and safety inspections; Microsoft Office Suite. Skill in: internal customer service; budgeting for labor and other expenditures; training and coaching. Ability to: work quickly, efficiently and independently; manage multiple and competing priorities across separate shifts; communicate effectively with internal customers, suppliers and other employees both verbally and in writing; adapt to change; deliver presentations to employees; relate to and influence employees and co-workers; develop and maintain good working relationships; problem solve; delegate; operate a computer; read and interpret financial statements, data and other reports.
