Job Description:

The Process Documentation Intern is responsible for the revision of controlled manufacturing documentation in accordance to current GMP Standards. Will partner with SMEs from cross-functional teams to ensure that all controlled documents being revised contain required information pertaining to process, product and equipment specifications and are completed within defined timelines.

How You Will Contribute:

Responsible for GMP documentation process in support of manufacturing operations including:

  • Revise SOPs, Batch Records and Form Preps

  • Ensure consistency and alignment between documents in compliance with SOP requirements

  • Address comments as provided by document reviewers

  • Learn and apply best practices when reviewing draft SOPs and Batch Records/Form Preps

  • Coordinate document revisions for major projects or change management

Internship Development Opportunities:

  • How to design documentation for the end user

  • How to write documentation for a biotechnology environment

  • How to effectively resource plan and manage deliverables for projects

  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects for the documentation team

  • Collaboration and knowledge sharing with other departments within the Manufacturing space

Job Requirements:

  • This position will be Fully Onsite and require 4+ days in the Lexington, MA office per week.

  • Previous Technical writing experience

  • Experience with more advanced document management applications a plus (including but not limited to EDMS and TrackWise)

  • Basic understanding of computer skills including MS Office (PowerPoint, Words, Excel)

  • Internet skills including use of e-mails, group messaging and information gathering

  • Highly reliable and a strong team player

  • Flexible with an attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in life sciences, writing, project management, human performance, or similar area

Internship Eligibility

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship

  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2025 or later

  • The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (June 2nd- August 29th) or (June 16th - August 22nd

  • The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames

  • Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates

  • Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$21.00 - $46.00

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. internship benefits vary by location and may include:

  • Paid sick time
