The qualified applicant will support a NAVAIR Program Office based at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland, providing avionics engineering support in the engineering, development and procurement of Unmanned Aircraft Systems.

Requirements

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

· Support the execution of advanced avionics research and development systems. Support program management and program team leadership to integrate new capabilities, define gaps, derive requirements, and develop program descriptions, specifications, integrated roadmaps, and detailed schedules.

· Support the development of acquisition and technical documentation. Support and coordinate technical reviews, and data analysis and reports.

· Serve as a program Avionics Engineer in support of program technical execution, coordination, risk management and communication of concerns and issues.

· Support team development of out-year planning and provide input to roadmaps for analysis, risk reduction, and development of requirements/capabilities.

· Identify MIL-STDs that apply to system for intended operational environment.

· Document interfaces of the system.

Requirements:

· US citizen with active Top Secret clearance (or ability to obtain one).

· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university. Experience cannot be substituted for education

· Minimum of 4 years of recent and relevant experience in aircraft avionics engineering to include one year of UAS experience.

Salary Description

$69,249- $107,976.00 depending on experience
