Propulsion and Power Logistics Manager (E2D/C2 T56/NP2000 Support - PMA 231)

KBR is seeking a Propulsion and Power Logistics Analyst/Manager (E2D/C2 T56/NP2000 Support) to join our Team. In this role, you will serve as a Power and Propulsion SME in support of PMA 231, E2/C2 Aircraft Program Office at NAS PAXR/ NAWCAD, Propulsion IPT. You will indirectly support PMA231 at the Engine FST’s Jacksonville and NI San Diego Depot Cherry Point, as part of the T56 Engine a Logistics Team.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts deck plate part usage queries and creates other queries in (DP) COGNOS, such as Maintenance Action Form (MAF) data reports, inventory and location reports on engines and engine parts, NP2000 propeller components, and other Ad Hoc queries as required.

  • Assists the Propulsion Teams with Engine Propulsion Systems Electronic Action Record (EPSEAR) tracking system on the PMA231, AF and PP SharePoint site.

  • Assist NAVSUP Engine Parts Manger in tracking shipping containers, Monitors fleet distribution to users.

  • Reports to the PMA 231 Propulsion (DAPML), and the (AF&PP IPT) lead for daily tasking.

  • Performs support equipment location, condition, shipping, and handling systems research.

  • Create and tracks Engine/NP2000 Propeller metrics and use NAVAIR Qlik Sense Analytical resources. E2D and E2C/C2 propulsion, NP2000 propellors, airframe systems. NP2000 Propeller, hydraulic and electrical systems.

  • Creates person to person networking with all the T56 maintenance and repair, support activities, Navy, and industry wide.

  • Works at support facilities with the fleet technicians, conducting first article tests and possibly technical process evaluations, occasionally.

  • Submits trip technical reports as needed to the Airframe and Power Plant IPT (AF &PP IPT) and Deputy Assistant Program Logistics (DAPML)

  • Leads and provides routine monthly and quarterly metrics and logistics reports for the PMA customers.

  • Conducts reviews of fleet submitted engine reports, Engineering change proposals (ECP) and Technical Directive (TD) reviews.

  • This role may be performed on-site at NAVAIR/NAS PAX on base 1 to 2 days per week workdays; May offer some remote days or from the KBR/NSI Facilities in Lexington Park MD. 2 to 3 days a week via NMCI telecommute as required by the contract.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a BS, degree in Engineering, Aviation Maintenance or a related logistics discipline.

  • Must have at least 7 years of related experience.

  • In lieu of a degree, 12 years of Naval Aviation Maintenance experience in Propulsion, Propeller Systems at the O, and I level, is required.

  • Must have vast experience in AD1, ADC or ADCS,

  • Must be familiar with T56, E2, C2 Maintenance, Record Management, engine logbooks, Deck Plate (DP), Deck ETR, Supply One Touch, FED MALL.

  • Must know how to obtain NAVAIR Technical Publications and use them to do research for tasking.

  • Must be adept at Microsoft Office particularly Excell, Word, Power Point and Use SharePoint sites and applications.

  • Must be a self-starter, be able to assess the customers’ needs while assisting customers without daily supervision, sometimes on short notice data calls.

  • Must have a strong Naval Aviation Maintenance Management background.

  • Safe for flight requirements, QA Functions, TPDR and TD management experience is required.

  • A working knowledge of the naval supply system is required.

  • Must be able to research engine propellor and aircraft data to produce metrics, put in graphic form as well as Excell form, create reports in word, power point and excel for use by navy high level customers.

  • Must have Aviation technical publication management experience.

  • Must be able to use and Access IETMS and submit TPDRS in traditional publications and IETMS.

  • P3/C130 T56 engine fleet experience is a plus.

  • Organizational and Intermediate level experience at FRC Norfolk, FRC Point Mugu, COMNAV FRC PAX or any of the VX or VAW squadrons, FRC PAX Engine shop is required.

  • Modular engine documentation and record management experience is required.

  • Telecommuting distance within 40 miles from the base is required for this role.
