Support the execution of all aspects of advanced research and development systems. Work with program management and program teams to integrate new capabilities, derive requirements, and develop program integrated roadmaps. Analyze manufacturers’ proposals as permitted by law and regulation. Serve as the senior systems program engineer for coordination of technical program status and execution throughout the design, engineering, integration, test and program execution process with the manufacturer(s). Develop, execute, monitor, and report status on program efforts, including analysis of test data.

Serve as the engineer for program technical execution, coordination, and communication of concerns and issues with program management and technical leadership. Coordinate with government leaders, manufacturer leads, engineering leads, technical subject matter experts, and program managers involved in program planning and execution. Provide insight to determine the effectiveness of program execution and recommend modifications to processes for program activities.

Travel (25%) is required for this position

Requirements

Required Experience & Skills:

· Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university. Experience cannot be substituted for education.

· Experience: Candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in engineering for the DoD.

Desired Experience and Skills:

· Candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in DoD military platforms/systems.

· Candidate should have at least 10 years of a military background in tactical aviation systems.

· Candidate should have experience managing complex technical projects for the DoD, defense contractor(s), or engineering organization(s) that have implement digital engineering.

· Candidate should have experience with agile project management, Scaled Agile Framework, and tools and processes such as Jira and scrum.

· Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe products.

· Candidate should have demonstrated good oral and written communication skills.

· Candidate should have experience working in a dynamic, schedule constrained, and complex security environment.

Clearance Requirement: A final DoD Top Secret clearance. Eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartment Information (SCI) in accordance with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 704 and Special Access Program (SAP) in accordance with SAP Nomination Policy (SAPNP) with no disqualifying security issues that will deem a candidate ineligible for access.

Salary Description

$151,409.00 - $215,981.00 depending on experience
