J.C. Wilkie Construction, Lexington SC is seeking a Civil estimator to join our fast-growing team.

We are a large, regional site contractor performing construction for new installation of water, sewer, and storm drainage systems as well as grading and road building. • Analyze plans: Interpret plans, regulations, and codes of practice, experience in reading civil plans, performing take offs.

• Calculate costs: Estimate the cost of materials, labor, and equipment.

• Create budgets: Work with stakeholders to develop a budget for the project.

• Prepare estimates: Use software to calculate costs and timeframes, and prepare final estimates, experience with various computer programs such as AutoCAD, Heavy Bid, MC2, and Bid 2 Win is a plus.

• Collaborate: Work with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors

• Manage projects: Oversee and document all aspects of the estimating and bid process.

• Research: Visit work sites, pull records, and research on behalf of the construction company

• Make reports: Prepare reports for other members of the construction team.

  Required Experience:

• Must possess a valid Driver’s License

• 2 years Civil Estimating experience preferred.

• Experience with various estimating programs, AutoCAD, Heavy Bid, Bid 2 Win

• Excellent communication skills
